Muhammad Nazir Halliru
Director General, KanInvest
Muhammad Nazir Halliru was the immediate Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Kano State on Budget and Economic Planning. Before then, he was a Senior Advisor with GRID3 Inc. and also served as the Nigeria Country Manager for GRID3 with Columbia University in the United States. In this role, he served as the focal point at the federal level supporting national policy decisions and development under several initiatives and programmes set up by the Presidency to use fundamental geospatial data layers on population, administrative boundaries, settlements, and points of interest, to support planning in health, education, food security, etc. Nazir coordinates with various government agencies at both national and subnational levels including development partners (Gates Foundation, UNFPA, World Bank, UK’s FCDO, AfDB, WHO, and UNICEF, among others). His experience qualified him to be a pioneer member of the BMGF Geospatial Insights Advisory Board for one year.
Mr. Halliru served as a member of various National Technical Working Groups (TWGs) that prepared Nigeria’s Medium-term National Development Plan (2021-2025), Nigeria Agenda 2050, and Sectoral Programmes of the Presidential National Poverty Reduction with Growth Strategy (NPRGS) to uplift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty. He also co-chaired the Presidential multi-sectoral Technical Committee for establishing the Alternate School Programme (ASP) under the National Social Investment Programme.

Alhaji Hamid Sidi Ali, from Kano State, is a core professional manager, administrator, Accountant, and investment promoter.
Graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, with a BSc. (Hons) Accounting and Masters in Business Administration.
Sidi Ali began his working career after completing his one-year National Service (NYSC) in Lagos with KPMG Nigeria (A reputable and well-known International chartered Accounting Firm) and later joined Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) and later Kano State Internal Revenue Service (KIRS) to establish a new Unit as the pioneer Head (Corporate/Individual Performance Management Unit), where he brought his professionalism and wealth of experience to bear, which saw the astronomical growth of revenue collection and management in Kano State within the period.
His proven competence, capacity and outstanding performance at KIRS led to his posting by the Office of the Kano State Head of Civil Service to the established Kano State Investment Promotion Agency (KanInvest) in December 2020 as the Director Revenue Operations and was later elevated as Director Strategy and Policy, and then as Director (Project Development & Investor Relations) and on 22nd December 2023 as Director Administration and General Services, of Kano State Investment Promotion Agency (KanInvest).
Alhaji Sidi Ali is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Corporate Administration (ICA) and an Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) and The Institute of Mediators & Conciliators of Nigeria (ICMC)
Aminu Muhammad Kawu, Esq (AICMC)
Aminu Muhammed Kawu is an indigene of Kano State. A Barrister and a Solicitor with over 10 years of experience.
He obtained his Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from Bayero University, Kano State.
He is an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association at the National and State levels (Kano Branch).
He is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators.
Currently, he is the Board Secretary/Legal Adviser of the Kano State Investment and Promotion Agency.
